Expert educators and engineers built the Studio Classroom Model together to reimagine what school can be. We design classroom and school models that deliver transformational outcomes for every student and prepare them for their future. We build inside the real constraints of real schools, so the models we create work at scale.
The Studio Classroom Model currently runs in two subject areas, ELA and Math. Both start from the same conviction: AI works best when it strengthens what a great teacher is already doing, not when it replaces them. Each pilot classroom becomes a living lab — a place to test an idea, learn from evidence, and refine the model in rapid cycles.

AI-Enabled Literacy: Making High-Quality Curriculum Work for Every Student
A student reading two grade levels behind doesn’t need an easier book, and the one who freezes at a blank page doesn’t need an easier assignment. Both deserve the same grade-level work as everyone else, and exactly the support and practice they need.
That’s the thinking behind the ELA model. It starts from strength, building on the high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) schools already use rather than replacing them, so every student stays in rich, grade-level texts and writing tasks—no separate track that quietly lowers the bar. When a student hits a wall, AI tools step in with exactly the scaffolding and feedback they need in that moment.
Alongside Tier 1, research-based AI tools diagnose specific literacy gaps and deliver targeted remediation for Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction, building toward independent readers, writers, and speakers who take ownership of their own growth. AI also can help with something that every teacher struggles with—summarizing how every student is performing in real time. Paired with coaching, that real-time picture helps teachers act immediately: pulling the right small group, redirecting a discussion, or checking in with one student instead of waiting for an exit ticket or quiz to find out.
Instead of layering on disconnected apps, we choose and test tools thoughtfully and scientifically, woven into one coherent instructional model and refined through rapid cycles of testing and evidence.

Our Design Framework
We pair school-based design work with shared implementation support—co-design, coaching, and the AI infrastructure to back it up. Teaching Lab Studio and Teaching Lab bring what it takes to turn a promising idea into a model that actually holds up.
We build it in rapid cycles—empathize, define, ideate, prototype/plan, test—not once through, but over and over. Each cycle: plan a small change, build it, test it with real students, step back on the evidence, decide what’s next.
People
Educators at the center
Teachers and school leaders aren’t testers—they’re co-designers. Their expertise shapes every tool and model we build.
Products
AI tools that cohere
We build AI-enabled tools that align with curriculum and instructional practice—no disconnected products dropped into classrooms.
Time
Sustainable by design
Innovation that works in a 45-minute period, a 180-day school year, and an underfunded system—or it doesn’t work at all.
