We’re thrilled to share that Nisa is live and we’re opening our beta to the public! Nisa is an AI-powered ecosystem for instructional coaching, built for and with coaches, and we’re ready to bring in more coaches in more contexts to inform Nisa’s ongoing development.

The impact of instructional coaching

If you’ve ever been coached, you know how powerful it can be. Instructional coaching is one of the most effective ways to improve teaching practice – and when teaching improves, student learning follows.

But coaching is hard to scale. Supporting teachers, each with unique strengths and needs, and tailoring resources to their curriculum and classroom context takes a lot of time and thought. The relationship – the trust and connection that makes coaching so effective – needs to remain at the heart of this work.

That’s why we built Nisa. Our aim is simple: to extend the reach of instructional coaches so they can spend more energy on the parts of coaching that matter most. We do this by making sure that Nisa is drawing on the personal knowledge the coach has about the teacher, and leaning on high quality evidence-based practices.

The beliefs behind Nisa

Nisa is more than a tool. It’s built on a set of beliefs we hold deeply:

  • Good teaching requires expertise and doesn’t happen overnight. It grows over time with intentional practice, reflection, and feedback.

  • Human relationships drive growth. At the heart of every effective coaching relationship is trust, care, and connection.

  • AI should amplify human connection and care. Technology should make it easier for people to connect, not harder. We believe AI should spark meaningful touchpoints and create more space for genuine human growth.

Nisa’s support for coaches

Nisa helps coaches and teachers work together more smoothly. It takes care of the logistics that eat up precious time, like tracking progress through low-inference notes and writing follow-up emails. It helps keep momentum going between sessions with thoughtful, well-timed touchpoints and support resources. And it shows up during planning and in coaching conversations like a trusted colleague – ready with insights, resources, or ideas to deepen the dialogue.

Nisa doesn’t replace coaches, it gives them more bandwidth to do what they do best: support teachers in becoming the strongest versions of themselves.

Invitation to try Nisa

With this beta launch, we’re opening up a public pilot for coaches.

  • If you’re a coach, working at any grade level and any subject, you can join the pilot this year and use Nisa at no cost.

  • If you’re a school or district leader, you can reach out to us directly (hello@nisa.coach) to explore piloting Nisa in your schools.

  • If you’re a teacher, share this opportunity with the coaches or admins in your school!

This is an invitation to be part of something new. Nisa is a tool we’re building together with educators and by joining the pilot, you’ll help shape how a relational AI tool can support teachers and coaches in thoughtful, impactful ways. Come be part of this journey!
